amble

the increment began tile by tile, inches towards my home.

i knew that upon arrival, the door would be unlocked, and i could let myself in to clothes i didn't know.

a sizzle of lemon and a spritz of berry, and i was carried away.

in no time i was swung left and right by rhythmic secrets and a potentially forgotten memory.

still, i carried on. i've always been desperate to beg for attention, and with my butterfingers, i never could keep a grasp.

the smell of ferment and brie led me somewhere i knew, and through a healthy helping of hypnosis, i found my way to a home that i can only hope is mine.
