acrostic

all day i've been trying to find the words;

likely because

of an inadequacy of conveyance.

not an inability to know the words; but

enveloped in grime from misuse is the

language, moth-eaten from its stagnation.

yellowed teeth stained with each conversation swallowed.

careful not to step on anyone's toes, i

rely on broken bones to

yield a journey.

forlorn

on a pedestal, gold medal

raised, absent of silver or bronze.

heavy breaths lugged by muscles i've

etched into my marble to pass the time.

life is

perfect.
