this one became an instant favourite. i adore this style of writing, so incredibly casual, as if your best friend is retelling something that happened to them. i love trans protagonists who are unlikeable flea bags and can’t see past their own navels. incredible character building, sudden and fictionally unsatisfying, yet perfectly fitting ending. This book represents such a specific era that feels so familiar and yet distant to me as a child of the 2000s. just absolutely adore everything about this book.
